Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Nyx is currently in a foster home. Please fill out the interest form at the bottom of this page if you're interested in adopting or learning more about her!
Sweet Nyx can't wait to find a quiet home and a new bestie. In her last home, though shy with strangers, she was a sweet friend to her trusted human, who described her as extremely cuddly and relaxed with her favorite people. The busy environment of the shelter was quite stressful for Nyx but, given some time to decompress in a foster home, she's started to come out of her shell. Her foster reports that Nyx adores birdwatching, purrs when pet, and enjoys chasing the laser.
Nyx's perfect adopter will be patient with her while she adapts to the next phase of her life, and will understand that she'll likely build trust most readily if offered a "hands off" approach at first. For her comfort, she is available to a family with older or no kids at this time. She's likely to prefer a dog-free home, or one with extra-calm canines and very slow intros. Primary Color: Black Weight: 12.75 Age: 5yrs 1mths 0wks

Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter and first vaccines, medical exam, and microchip.
How to Adopt from Foothills Animal Shelter:
Visit the Shelter or one of our offsite adoption partner locations to find a pet. Once you’ve decided on an animal, you should check with staff to see the status and history of the animal. At this time, you can fill out an adoption application and visit with the animal.
We recommend you bring all family members to the Shelter to meet with the animal before you consider adopting. If you are interested in adopting a dog, bring any household dogs to the Shelter to determine if it is a good match. Also, if you rent your home, please bring the pet policy in your lease or rental agreement and contact information for your landlord.
Once your application is reviewed, you can pay the adoption fees and take your new pet home. It may take some time for your new pet to adjust to its new environment. If you have questions or concerns after adopting, please contact us at 303-278-7575.
