My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 5 years old
Weight: 31.6kg / 69.6lb

A little bit about Missy :
- History of living with children, including positive interactions with young kids in home. Potential for home with children. All interactions should be carefully supervised by an adult.
- Unknown history with cats and other small animals; all introductions should be done slowly over a period of time
- History of living with another dog; potential for another dog in-home pending successful introduction

Missy is a sweet 5-year-old shepherd mix searching for her forever family. She came to the shelter through no fault of her own and is finding the busy environment overwhelming. Despite this, her gentle and loving personality shines through.

Missy has experience living with small children and may enjoy having a dog friend or two in her new home. She thrives in easy-going environments where she can rediscover the joys of having a place to call her own—a cozy spot to relax, a yard to play in, and a family to love.

If you`re ready to open your heart and home to this wonderful girl, Missy can’t wait to meet you!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
