Brock was a stray but his owner never came to claim him. So H-E-A-R-T did! So far Brock has shown us he's classic Sibe.... aloof, independent, strong, good with the other dogs, intelligent, escape artist.

Brock is a 4yr old Siberian Husky. He's currently 54lbs but should be around 60lbs once filled out. He is very food motivated and gets excited to eat so helping him fill out will be no issue! We'd like to find a home for Brock who understands the breed. He's strong on a leash and true to the Siberian Husky's nature, is a flight risk until he's settled into a routine. It took him about 2-3 weeks to feel secure in his foster home. The first several days he tested the fenced, but wasn't able to escape. If you have a fence, it will need to be 6 ft and fortified, otherwise Brock should be walked and exercised on a leash or at a dog park several times a day.

Brock is housebroken and crate trained, although he may protest about it initially. He's great with the other Huskies in his foster home. We would not recommend him around small animals or small dogs. He's affectionate on his terms and is incredibly handsome.

Brock is located in MD. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on his vaccines. He can be transported for a compatible home.

~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply

Additional adoption info

Our application can be seen here: www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply

We screen all applicants by calling personal references, landlords, vet references, conducting a phone interview and doing a home inspection. We do allow for a two week trial period after the adoption contract is signed. We back our dogs for life.

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c) (3) nonprofit animal rescue organization. Our organization saves, rehabilitates, and rehomes Siberian Huskies (and other breeds of dogs) who are abandoned and are in kill shelters. We provide medical and behavioral services and rehome them to compatible families. We do this through volunteer efforts. Most of the dogs in need will come from the Southern States where the shelter kill rate is higher. We have a network of foster homes along the East Coast, while our adoption locations can be found in Maryland and New Jersey.
