My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My foster writes:
Gobb is the most handsome boy with a lot of love to give. After some time and a slow approach, he was purring next to us on the couch. He loves pets behind his ears or on his behind but sometimes it can be overwhelming for him. He isn't used to being loved on so much that he can get overstimulated.
Ever since he got over his cold, he came out of his shell and his true personalitity is as large as him! Gobb loves wand toys and anything he can hunt. Usually he is a couch potato but he is a different cat with some crinkly paper in front of him.
Gobb is a big sweetheart who loves to watch you do your thing. He can be very vocal and will speak to you like he knows your language, espcially if he wants a snack!

Gobb appreciates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He will likely need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.

I am FIV+ and am enjoying a healthy, full life!

A volunteer writes: Gobb loves to stretch his little kitty toes. He thinks hands are pillows and will never turn down a treat. I learned all of this seconds after opening the door because Gobb starts with the positive. It's just who he is and I'm not sure that he knows any other way. Gobb may look a little different at the moment, but he asks that we please not hold this against him. He is adorably determined not to be overlooked and was so eager to be included in what I was doing that Gobb practically leaped out of his condo and into my arms. As he rolled around at the front of his condo, proudly showing off his gorgeous belly I thought about how Gobb didn't blink at any of my imperfections. Instead he instantly welcomed me as a friend in a flurry of love and cuddles. Gobb has lived with other cats and we hope that all the love he readily shares will be returned to him.
