Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi there, I’m Harper! I’m a 1-year-old pup with a sweet and gentle personality. I can be a little shy when we first meet, but once I get to know you, my playful and loving side will shine through. I absolutely love hanging out on the couch with you for some quality cuddle time, and I also enjoy playing outside and soaking up the fresh air. With a little patience and kindness, I’ll become your loyal companion, always ready to make your day brighter. If you’re looking for a furry friend to share both cozy moments and outdoor adventures, I could be the perfect fit!
I recently arrived at HSC from the ASPCA’s Behavioral Resource Center in Asheville as a graduate of their program. By considering me for adoption, you will help me continue my journey of learning ‘how to be a dog’ and gaining my confidence around people. It took many months to get me here and I need a quiet, patient home that will help me continue to learn and stay safe living in a home. My adoption comes with a behavior resource packet and continued support from the ASPCA’s BRC.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Charlotte believes in working to improve our community by creating new, loving families, and building a world where there are no more homeless and unwanted animals. This is an ongoing process — for every animal we can connect with a new family, another animal in need comes to HSC’s shelter. As a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the HSC relies on the generous support of animal lovers, grants, bequests, and fees for service.
HSC is not affiliated with any other animal welfare organizations and we do not receive government funding.
