Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Cocoa is a fluffy and affectionate, yet guarded, female pup who is looking for her forever home. This sweet girl with the prettiest eyes was surrendered by her owners because she didn’t fit in with their resident dog. She is believed to be around 7 months old.
This sweet pup is playful and loves to frolic with the resident dog in her foster home. She also loves quiet snuggle time and is content to chill in her crate over night. We leave the crate door open during the day and she relaxes in there when she isn’t snoozing on a bed or couch, or chewing on her toys in my home office. She does well with the medium-sized dog in her foster home. She can be an only dog with a playful and attentive family, or with other dogs her size and temperament. She is initially timid with strangers, and may not be suitable for a home with small children (under 10).
Cocoa is working on being completely housebroken, but will go out on schedule and will do her business when prompted, so someone who is home and will be patient with her to continue her training is needed. A fenced yard is strongly preferred as she loves to run and is not yet comfortable on a leash.
Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Adopting from Releash Atlanta means you will adopt a dog that has been fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and medically cleared!! While we make our best guesses, we often don’t know what breeds our kiddos are made of. We cannot guarantee our guesses will always be right but CAN guarantee they are 100% good dogs! Our adoption fee is $350.
**We only adopt to families in/around Atlanta, Ga (about a 1-2 hour perimeter)**

Additional adoption info
The apps are submitted and intensely screened for general approval by a phone interview and vet check. Once approved it is sent to the foster to see if it is a match for their foster dog where another interview takes place. If both agree it seems like a good fit. A meet is scheduled where the whole potential family and any current pets meet the foster and foster dog. A home check is done. Then once both agree it is in fact a good fit, they will sign a contract, pay a fee and take the dog home that day if the foster likes, or the next day so both parties can sleep on it to make sure it's right.

We are 100% volunteer run rescue saving dogs from high kill shelters throughout the state of Georgia. We do not discriminate breeds, health concerns, injury, illness or surgical need. We save all ages, sizes, breeds, etc. Once saved - they are sent straight to the vet to be fully examined, have any health concerns addressed and cleared and then sent to the foster home for evaluation. Once evaluated, we come up with a bio to determine their best fit for a forever home.
