My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

KitKat has been living with bigger cats that seek her out and beat her up. She is defensive with other cats because of this. She will be fine if the other cats don't bother her. She has a tendency to over groom herself in stressful situations.

More about this shelter

A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the County by raising funds to build a new facility for our animals. It is called the Eastbourne Animal Center and has now replaced the old Monroe County Animal Shelter. They provide volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
