Basic Commands
Clever

Champ is above and beyond in agility, intelligence and swiftness to learn. This pup needs an active lifestyle for both his mind and his body. A gentle boy. Affectionate. Responsive and respectful. Not a mean bone in his body, even when another dog takes his bone right out of his mouth! Champ is a leader, yet when he meets a new person he can be shy at first. We took him to Lowe's for an adventure. He was perfect! He pranced with his head up high, obeying every command. Knowing this dog has been a fantastic experience for each employee here.

Go meet their pets

We have various satellite facilities (foster homes) throughout west central Florida. Appointments are required. We strive to be flexible to accommodate the public's schedule.

More about this rescue

New Horizon Dog Rescue pulls animals from high-kill shelters, those that are scheduled for euthanization, those that otherwise had no chance. The animals are immediately veterinarian examined. The animals are further tested for heartworm, administered the necessary vaccines and are spayed/neutered when applicable.

We are volunteers who devote to the ultimate goal: placing the animals in responsible, loving homes, where they have always been meant to be.
