My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Napoleon is a sweet, gentle 6-month-old pup who will absolutely melt your heart! Weighing just 17 pounds, he’s doing fantastic in his foster home, and he hasn’t had any accidents, so he’s well on his way to being fully house trained.

Napoleon is a snuggly cuddle bug who adores giving kisses and taking naps in your lap. He’s affectionate, gentle, and absolutely loves playtime! Whether it’s fetch, tug-of-war, or playing with his favorite toys, Napoleon is always ready for some fun with his human and canine friends. He’s also wonderful with kids, making him an ideal family companion.

This smart pup is a quick learner—he mastered the “sit” command after just two tries! Napoleon comes when called, sleeps soundly in his crate through the night, and behaves calmly in the car, making him a breeze to bring along on outings.

Napoleon is looking for a loving home where he can shower his new family with affection and receive the same in return. If you’re searching for a loyal, sweet companion, Napoleon’s your guy!
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.December 27, 2024, 11:40 am

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
