My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wally (aka Sprocket) – Your Future Best Friend! 🐾💖
Looking for a bundle of joy to brighten your life? Meet Wally, a 7-month-old, 7lbs ball of energy and love! Known affectionately as “Sprocket,” this adorable little guy is ready to find his forever home.
About Wally (aka Sprocket):
Age: 7 months
Weight: 7 lbs (perfect for cuddling!)
Nickname: Sprocket
Personality: Silky, snuggly, sweet, and incredibly smart. Wally loves attention and will follow you everywhere, looking for a belly rub or a spot on your shoulder nook to settle in for some cuddles. He’s also energetic and loves to play, making him the perfect companion for an active human or family.
What Wally Loves:
Water: Wally is fascinated by water – he’ll drink from any source he can find! Whether it’s from a shower, a faucet, or even hopping into the tub, he loves to stay hydrated in his own special way.
Playtime: He loves toys and will happily create his own obstacle course, running around and playing tug-o-war with small dogs. He enjoys chasing, playing with other small dogs, and is always ready for a game.
Outdoor Adventures: Wally enjoys walks and is always curious about what’s going on outdoors. He’s fully housebroken and has access to the yard throughout the day.
Ideal Home:
Wally needs a loving, active home where he’ll get the attention, exercise, and playtime he craves.
He’s good with small dogs, loves to chase and play, but can be a little shy at first with new doggie friends.
He can be mouthy when excited, anxious, or nervous, but never bites – he just likes to express himself in his own way!
A Few More Things to Know:
Wally is housebroken and has access to the outdoors all day.
He enjoys Purina Pro Savory food (available at PetSmart and Petco) and loves Greenies and Puperoni treats.
He’s got a unique way of going potty – he squats to pee!
Wally is looking for someone who will give him loads of attention and be his constant companion. He’ll be right by your side, whether you’re relaxing or playing.
Wally is a bundle of joy, ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and plenty of playtime. If you think you’re the right match for this sweet, snuggly, and energetic boy, contact us to meet him today!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Whether you are interested in a specific dog or would like us to recommend a dog that fits you best, you can expect the following adoption process:

1. The first step in the adoption process is to complete an Application. http://rescueachi.com/adoption-application/ We will review your application and verify the information upon receiving it. If you rent your home, your landlord will be contacted for approval so it is important to make sure to include your landlord’s name and number on the application.

2. Once your application is approved, we will make arrangements for you to meet the dog in person. This interview is usually arranged by the dog’s foster family and may take place at your home or mutual location. We encourage everyone who lives in the household, especially children and other pets to meet and interact with the dog during this interview.

3. CRSD reserves the right to visit your home for an inspection during the adoption process.

4. Once you are approved, you will be asked to sign a legally binding Adoption Contract and pay an adoption fee.

Adoption Fees
Because we are an all-volunteer group, 100% of all adoption fees are used to cover medical expenses for the dogs in our rescue. Medical treatments include general health exams, dogs spay/neuter surgery, dental work, vaccinations, flea preventative medicals, microchip and microchip registration.

Any additional donation would be greatly appreciated, and this portion may be tax-deductible. Donations help us to continue to care for these special dogs.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue consisting of an all volunteer organization where all of our dogs are in private homes everyday. We do not have a shelter and our dogs are not kept in cages. Our dogs are from county animals shelters or from previous owners that are no longer able to care for their dog. All of our dogs are started on housebreaking, however, we do not guarantee that they will be housebroken. We offer education on how to housebreak a dog as well as other information on different situations. Every dog is spayed or neutered, current on shots, dewormed, frontline for fleas and ticks. Thank you for considering a rescue dog!!!
