Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hello! My name is Finley, and I'm a handsome 2-year-old black and white Lab/Pit mix. I'm a neutered male, up to date on all my vaccinations, and heartworm negative. I'm great with children and other dogs, but I haven't been cat tested yet, though that can be arranged if needed. I do have some anxiety but my vet gave me medicine to help and we have been working through the things that scare me.
I'm currently located in Newport News, VA, but I can be transported to other states for the right home. If you're looking for a loving and playful companion who enjoys both adventures and snuggles, I'm your guy! Let's make some wonderful memories together.

Our adoptable dogs are all in various foster homes and can be met by contacting rescue. Rescue will then provide foster home's contact information. Meet and greets will be arranged between foster and potential adopters. We also have adoption events at Petsmart on various dates which can be checked on our Facebook page, Operation Save a Shelter Dog.

More about this rescue
Our Mission
Operation Save A Shelter Dog is a foster based, IRS-recognized 501c(3) rescue whose mission is to work with shelters on the East Coast by saving dogs at high risk of euthanasia or that have little hope of adoption in their current condition. Not only is it our goal to find furever homes for our dogs, but also to educate the public on the importance of spaying, neutering, vaccinating and providing preventative care for their pets.
