My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elf is a strong guy surviving complications from what should have been a standard neuter surgery. One of his testicles hadn’t descended so they had to do a more invasive neuter. When they opened him up he had a hernia and when they tried to repair it the fat that covers the intestines plopped out so they had to cut part of it out (he basically got a tummy tuck!).

Elf is a sweet boy but is extremely shy at first so he needs lots of love to show him he's safe now and it's time for him to just be a dog. The first three weeks he took sanctuary in the bathroom and wouldn't come out, but with time and trust he came out and now follows his fosters around like a shadow! He loves other dogs and is submissive. He doesn't mind the crate but would rather be out and about with you. House trained!

Elf is currently being fostered in San Antonio and looking for an adopter or committed foster to adopt to hop on the transport to Denver scheduled for January.

Submit foster application if you only wish to foster, and an adoption application if you wish to adopt or foster with the intent of adoption

Meet the Pet

After your app is submitted, we will reach out to have a conversation and schedule a time for you to meet the pet

3.
Approve Application

If you decide to move forward after the meet and greet we will officially approve your application

4.
Take the Pet Home

After your app is approved, we will complete foster or adoption paperwork and you will take the pet home

Additional adoption info

We offer foster-to-adopt period of 2 weeks before finalizing the adoption to ensure that the animal is the right fit for you.
