My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Let me introduce myself, my name is Lady. Yep odd name but hey what can I say. I am around 1.5-2 yrs young. I had a family but not sure what happened, all I knew is they never came back for me and my other friend Brother. We were found in a kennel behind a home where nobody could see us, but we eventually made enough noise where someone came to investigate thankfully. We were rescued from there and been living a great life with plenty of food ever since. I am a friendly dog but I do admit I can be a bit shy for a bit (yes I did not have a great start to life) but after I know all is well I come around and love attention. I am medium sized so not too big and love to play and have fun. I do good with other dogs with a proper intro of course, but not sure about kitties (never met any). I am now ready to come to WI and find out how good life can truly be there, with people who actually care and take care of their doggy friend. I have been working on my manners and improving but may still need a little more work, again I was never taught anything. But I learn quickly and have been told I am a smart girl :). Well this is my life story so far and I am dreaming of my next chapter in life with my own family, it sounds amazing !! If you feel like I may be the one an online application can be found at SandiPaws.org for me, I will be there very soon. Cannot wait to experience this wonderous thing called snow also :) See ya soon I hope Love Lady

Additional adoption info

See our adoption process at www.sandipaws.org/adoption

A successful adoption depends on the selection of the right pet for your household and your understanding of your responsibility of adopting a rescued animal. Our adoption procedures have been designed to make sure all rescued Sandi Paws pets are placed in an appropriate, loving forever home, and to make sure all adopters find the right fit for their family. Prior to adoption, all dogs and cats will be given all age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, kennel cough, parvo and distemper, spaying/neutering, intestinal deworming, heartworm testing/treatment, microchipping, and monthly heartworm medication and flea prevention.

Note: We will adopt pets outside of Wisconsin if we can do necessary background and reference checks and the adopters agree to provide necessary follow up information. Also, the adopting family must agree to travel to pick up the pet and agree to transport them back to Wisconsin if they need to be returned at any time.
