My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I’m Happy, a 5-year-old mixed breed weighing in at a solid 49 lbs of love and joy. I may have come from sunny Mississippi, but I'm ready to find my forever home up north where I can finally settle in and rest my head on your lap.

I’ve been sharing a kennel with my best bud, Stan, and we’ve become quite the duo. We’d thrive best if we could stay together, bringing double the love and joy into your home.

I’m super alert and friendly, always ready to greet new friends with a wagging tail and a big smile. I’m fully vaccinated and neutered, so I’m all set to join your family.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion to bring happiness into your life, look no further. I can’t wait to meet you and start our new adventure together.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
