My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Susie, an 18-month to 2-year-old, 29 lb Rat Terrier mix with a heart full of love and an easygoing personality. Susie is a social butterfly who gets along with everyone—whether it's people, kids, or other dogs, she's happy to be friends with them all. Her affectionate nature and playful energy make her a wonderful companion for any family looking to add a sweet, well-rounded dog to their home. Thought she loves to play with other pups, she would thrive in a home as the only resident dog to receive all the attention.

Sadly, Susie's owner passed away, so she was unfortunately surrendered. Now she is looking for a new loving family to call her own. Susie is spayed and up to date with shots. She has made the trip to NJ and is ready to bring joy and companionship to here next home.

Apply today to adopt Susie at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application using a computer or laptop. Together, let's give this gal the fresh start she deserves.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
