Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET PEPPER AND PADFOOT!
Black Cats Rule!
Life was good for Pepper and her brother Padfoot, with a loving home and a cat parent who adored them. Tragically, when their human died unexpectedly, they found themselves turned over to the Spokane Humane Society. Kaleigh, one of our former adopters, saw them there and after hearing their sad story, decided to take them home. Sadly, in yet another twist of fate for them, they're not getting along well with the other two resident cats, so are in need of a loving home with no other animals. Because they've been together their entire lives with no other pets,
other animals tend to scare them. A bonded pair, they need to be adopted together. Having gone through far too much loss already in their lives they really need each other.! They are about 10 years old, spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, have perfect litter box manners and are in good health. Are you the person they're waiting for who can give them the happy lives they deserve?
Here's what Kaleigh, who is fostering them, has to say about them:
We are a bonded pair, so you get the wonderful gift of not one cat, but TWO! How purrrfect is that?! We're both so loving and sweet, but we do tend to be a little shy at first. After having had a very hard time recently, please understand that we'll need some time and patience to get used to our new surroundings.
Pepper loves to play with toy mice that make noise and wand toys
with feathers. She's a very curious gal who loves to explore her surroundings, and loves to chew on silvervine sticks, which are similar to cat nip, but more potent. She
enjoys cuddles and receiving lots of rubs. She's super stinking sweet!
Padfoot is a little shyer and lets you know when he wants loves and
cuddles and when he doesn't, by either sitting on your lap and demanding
them, or hiding until he's ready to snuggle under the covers with
you once again. He loves to play with almost any cat toy, but nothing
too loud.
Both cats LOVE to climb up high on their cat tree and scratch their
scratching posts. They enjoy looking out windows and smelling the
fresh air when the window is open. They are so funny, hiding under
blankets, then peeking out and making little meow/chirping sounds
when you come back in the room to greet them. How sweet is that?
Please consider adopting this personable pair of senior black kitties, because they tend to get overlooked by the hoards of kittens and younger cats out there. These two are so precious and would be thrilled to find a quiet and loving forever home of their very own!"
To meet these charming siblings, please contact fill out an adoption application on our website using this link: https://pawsitiveoutreach.org/adoption-application or call Gina at (480)779-9208. A calm adult home or one with older kids would be the best fit for them. Their adoption fee will be waived for the loving family who will cherish them forever and ever!
