We "inherited" Sophie upon the unexpected death of a relative. Rashly we decided to help the family out and took Sophie home with us after the funeral.
Within a week of living in our home, Sophie was secure enough to sit on our laps and enjoy being brushed. She is around six-years-old and is a sweet cat who will play and interact with people on her own terms.
As we age, we no longer have the energy to give her the attention she deserves.
