My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Matcha, a 5-month-old bully breed boy who has come a long way from his rough start! This sweet boy was originally found as a stray, emaciated and covered in parasites. But after some love and care, he’s now looking and feeling so much better—and his true personality is shining through!

Matcha is a professional snuggler and his absolute favorite place to be is curled up in a blanket next to his person. He loves to shower his humans with affection and will happily snuggle up for hours. He enjoys playtime with other dogs and would thrive with a canine companion but it’s not a requirement.

This playful pup is still working on his leash manners—right now, he tends to think the leash is the perfect tug toy—but he’s a fast learner and with some patience and consistency, he’ll soon be walking like a pro. Like any young pup, Matcha is still perfecting his housetraining, but with a good routine, he’s sure to catch on quickly.

Matcha is ready for his forever home where he can continue to grow into the loving, loyal companion he’s meant to be. If you're looking for a snuggly, playful friend, Matcha might just be the perfect fit!

Matcha is available as part of our Foster-to-Adopt program since he is not yet neutered. What that means for you is you get to go ahead and bring him home and we provide his monthly preventions for heartworm and fleas/ticks, age appropriate vaccinations and dewormers, and most importantly, his neuter! Once his neuter is completed (which should be before the end of January 2025), he will be ready to be officially adopted!

***Please Note: All the available dogs listed on our website are getting spoiled in private foster homes. If someone has caught your eye and you wish to arrange a meet and greet, we do need you to fill out the adoption application. When your adoption application is received our screening team will verify the information given. Once your application has been confirmed and approved, we will be send it over to the foster parent for review to determine if your home is a good match for the dog. In the event one lucky dog receives multiple applications, please know we do not select based on a first come basis. We try our best to select the best-fit for our animals and families. ***
