My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our little Zuke is such a good boy! He's simply perfect. He came to Muttville in a slightly messy state, and he not only tolerated a bath - he loved it! It's as if he knew he was getting all the care and attention he deserved, and that he would be getting purty for his new potential forever people. He was shy at first, but warmed up quickly, and was wagging about and greeting volunteers within a few hours. He even jumped up to share a seat and hang out! Come meet the adorable Zucchini-man!

Here's some notes from his foster:

Zucchini is SUCH a sweetheart. He is a frequent participant in zoom meetings when he crawls in my lap to nap while I'm working. He also likes to lay in a blanket in the sun, or hang out with our other dog, either on walks or just on the couch. We are impressed with his energy and joie de vivre! He goes on adventures in the Presidio and trots through trails and fields (not for super long distances - but he loves being out and about). He's great in the car, loves snuggling in bed (he burrows under the covers and sleeps all night), is potty trained and only barks when our big dog barks at at the mail man (Zucchinis bark sounds more like a hilarious throat clearing). Truly anyone would be so lucky to have this esteemed gentleman.

Other things to know about zucchini:
- definitely not an off leash dog. He likes to wander and so needs to stay on leash or in a fenced yard
- he can do stairs! We taught him and now he's great at it
- good with dogs, cats, kids
