Meet Paddington - an amazingly silly and sweet boy of about 5 years old

The Memphis rescue community recently lost a beloved member, Suzy of Meadow Wood Rescue, who dedicated her life to saving countless needy dogs. Following her passing, fellow rescuers have stepped in to ensure her personal dogs and rescues find loving homes.

Paws New England is honored to assist with this effort. All the dogs have been placed in foster homes where they are settling in and adjusting well, though understandably confused and grieving. Suzy cared for these sweet dogs well, but they required updates on vaccinations and spay/neuters. Much of this care has been completed thanks to generous community donations and veterinary support.

What we have learned about Paddington:

*Crate Trained - he loves his crate, goes in willingly and chooses often to nap there

*Housetrained - he has done well with his housetraining and had a few accidents his first few days in his new foster home

*Other dogs - Paddington needs another confident dog in his life. He takes his lead from another dog and needs one to feel confident and secure in his home

*Fenced in yard required - Paddington does well walking with another dog, however, he would love a fenced yard to play in. He is nervous of street noises and cars and will not be well suited for a home on a busy road.

*Experienced owner - Paddington has some terrier quirkiness so looking for someone with past terrier experience who loves and understands exactly what we mean

*He loves to play with his toys

*Paddington needs a little bit of time to warm up to new people but enjoys down time on the couch with his person
