My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tiana is a very sweet and loving cat. She is a DLH calico with soft fur. She loves to be picked up and held and will put her arms around a person's neck. She is super affectionate and loves people and craves human attention. She is also playful and especially enjoys playing with interactive toys like the Cat Dancer. She makes a unique sound like a frog croaking, so she's named after Tiana in Disney's, The Princess and the Frog. Tiana does have FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but it’s not a big deal! With proper care, FIV-positive cats like Tiana can live long, healthy, and happy lives.

What you need to know about FIV:

FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus: It’s a slow-acting virus that can weaken a cat’s immune system over time, making them more susceptible to infections.
How it’s transmitted: FIV is spread through deep bite wounds between cats. Casual contact like grooming, sharing food bowls, or playing does not spread the virus so Tiana can safely live with other friendly cats after proper introductions. FIV doesn’t spread to humans, dogs, or other non-feline pets.
Lifespan: With regular vet care and a stable, indoor environment, FIV-positive cats like Tiana can live as long as FIV-negative cats.
Symptoms: Many FIV-positive cats show no symptoms for years. When properly cared for, they often live healthy, normal lives.
Care requirements: Keep Tiana indoors to reduce exposure to potential infections, feed her a high-quality diet, and schedule regular veterinary check-ups to monitor her health.

Tiana is ready to be your sweet lap cat and fill your life with purrs and love. Are you ready to give this amazing girl the forever home she deserves? More about this rescue

H.A.R.T. is a non profit organization registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) status #800726587 and also with the State of Arizona as a not-for-profit charity. Our mission is to engage in activities that curb overpopulation, impede the feral cat cycle, re-home abandoned cats and kittens, promote responsible pet ownership, and end the cycle of animal suffering by a humane approach that utilizes spaying and neutering as its primary weapon. We accomplish this goal by implementing feral cat management through the Trap, Neuter & Return program (TNR).
