Jasper is a handsome DSH orange tabby male born approximately 11/26/2020.
Jasper (fka Ted) was originally rescued and adopted through NBCR as a kitten. Sadly, he has recently been returned to us due to changes within his adoptive family.
Jasper is the definition of a lap cat. He is very affectionate and cuddly. He enjoys napping on laps and cuddling up on beds next to you. Although he is shy when he meets new people, he warms up in a short time and will then be your bestie. He’s super sweet and does extremely well with children of all ages. He does well with other cats and has been around smaller dogs. He does not seem to be bothered by them, as long as they’ve been properly introduced and he has his space.
Jasper is very sweet and loving, so if you’re looking for a very affectionate cat, Jasper's the guy! He’s very smart and curious, so he’ll venture off into spaces he can fit through, but usually pops right out once called. He is accustomed to nail trimmings, so no need to worry about regular grooming with him. Overall, Jasper is the best cat anyone can dream of having!
Jasper is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105.

Adopters must be 21 years or older and willing to invest the time and money required to care for a pet. In addition to providing love and attention, regular medical care is required. Please ask if you would like more information about veterinary fees and costs.
Our animals come from a variety of situations. Some have been dumped at shelters or vets, and many are ill or malnourished when rescued. Although the animal has been in a protected environment, there is the possibility of unrecognized illness appearing after an adoption is finalized, especially because of the stress the animal may experience during the first few days at its new home. We advise adopters of the animal's known history and provide its veterinary records, but frequently we know only what the animal chooses to tell us. We cannot make any guarantee regarding the long-term health of any animal. Adoption fees are generally not refundable unless prior arrangements are made.
If you feel that you are ready to adopt, please e-mail adoptions@nbcrtx.org for prompt attention. A NBCR adoption counselor will contact you to arrange an interview.
