My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Karlene, the 1 1/2-year-old bundle of joy who's looking for her forever home! This sweet girl absolutely LOVES affection and can't get enough of your attention. Whether it's snuggling on the couch or chasing after a toy, Karlene's bubbly, cartoonish personality will have you smiling every day.

She came to us with a broken pelvis, but after some care and love in a foster home, she's fully recovered and ready to show off her playful side. Karlene did great with medium and small dogs during her recovery, and she’d be thrilled to be part of a family with other pets, or as the sole center of attention in a home.

Her playful, energetic spirit and insatiable desire for companionship make her an incredibly lovable cat. If you're ready for a furry friend who will shower you with affection and keep you laughing with her silly antics, Karlene is the one for you!

Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!
DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!!

Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
