My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 9 years old
Weight: 8.73kg / 19.25lb

A generous member of the public has paid for Loki`s adoption fee! If you adopt Loki, there is no cost to you!

Say hello to Loki - an older guy who is looking to be your one and only! But don`t worry, he`s enough cat for his future home (and that`s not just because of his size!)

Loki came to us quite shut down and overwhelmed, but with some patience and calm we`re starting to see his sweet-self shine through. He finds sharing a home with another animal too stressful and is looking to be the only cat in the home. In return, he will reward his future family with scintillating conversation. He can be a bit spicy when it comes to his boundaries, so he is looking for a home that can respect when he needs to have some alone time as well.

As mentioned, he is a little large and in-charge so his future family should work with their vet to get him trim and fit so that he can live a long, healthy, and much happier life. Talk to your adoption counsellor about all the ways you can also get him to start moving and grooving so that he can start living his best life today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
