My name is Mookie!

Mookie is an 11-day-old Black Lab Retriever mix with a heart of gold and a resilient spirit. This brave boy was found starving, with scars from a cruel past, but he hasn’t let that dim his love for people and life. Despite damage to his voice box that leaves him unable to bark, Mookie communicates his affection through tail wags, happy wiggles, and his gentle, friendly demeanor.

Mookie loves everyone he meets—kids, adults, and dogs alike—and is a pro at staying close during off-leash walks. He’s crate-trained, housebroken, and knows commands like "stay," "come," and "go potty." He adores being outside, going on walks, and snuggling in bed at night.

Mookie has a special fondness for toys, especially balls and rawhide chews, and enjoys car rides (though he might try to sneak onto your lap!). He’s ready to find a forever family who will continue to show him the love and kindness he so deserves.
