My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Teddy and I am from Minnesota.

From the Foster:

Teddy is a sweet, affectionate boy who is going to bring so much love and joy to his future family.

Teddy loves people and is very social. He rolls over at your feet for belly rubs, and if you’re sitting down, he’ll quickly snuggle up beside you—or even climb right into your lap for cuddles.

Teddy is very playful and full of kitten energy. He currently lives with his siblings, Mumford and Swift, and would do well in a home with another feline friend to keep him company, though it’s not a requirement. He hasn’t met our resident cats or dogs, but he’s young, friendly, and adaptable so I have no doubt he’d be fine with other animals with proper introductions.

Teddy hasn’t met young children yet, but his gentle, affectionate personality would make him a great match for kids who understand how to respectfully interact with a kitten.

Teddy is currently undergoing treatment for suspected ringworm—a 5 week medication course. It is given once daily for weeks 1, 3 and 5 and discontinued on weeks 2 and 4. Teddy is in the 3rd week of treatment and has 3 rechecks scheduled. If he retests positive, he will go through another 5 weeks of treatment. Teddy also gets baths 2x a week. He does great with both his baths and medication :)

With his blend of snuggly sweetness and playful charm, Teddy is ready to find his perfect forever home—could it be yours?

If you have any questions about Teddy or would like to meet him, submit your application today!

From the Vet Team: This pet is currently being tested for a contagious fungal skin infection called ringworm (dermatophytosis). The testing process can take 3 or more weeks to receive results from the laboratory, and if positive will require a complete treatment course (consisting of oral medications, topical medicated treatments, retesting and complete environmental household cleaning).

This animal may be adopted at this time while we are currently awaiting final results from the testing laboratory, however the future adopter will incur full responsibility for proper isolation and household cleaning practices of this pet. The Bond Between would cover the cost of treatment and rechecks for ringworm of this pet only should this animal test positive, however any potential spread of infection to resident animals or family members would be the financial responsibility of the adoptive family and not The Bond Between.

The Bond Between's goal is to not keep any animals at our rescue office. The majority of our animals are living in foster homes until they are adopted. Occasionally, animals are living in our rescue office that are in need of a foster home.

If you would like to meet an animal at our office who needs a foster, please reach out to inofficeanimals@thebondbetween.org and fill out our foster interest form at https://www.thebondbetween.org/foster

More about this rescue

The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.

We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.

You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
