Hi! My name is Tom and I am from Texas.

From his foster: Tom is a super sweet and very loving puppy who gets along with everyone. He loves to play with his brother and then enjoys napping by our side (and occasionally on our laps). He is truly a bundle of joy. He is a vocal player and likes to growl and bark when playing. It's not anything bad, he just likes to “trash talk”. He *could* grow up to be a barker so shared walls could be a problem but it's way too soon to tell for sure. He doesn't bark randomly (or at noises) as much as he barks at his brother sometimes. Tom does like to steal his brother's food/treats so if you have another animal with resource guarding issues, you will need to separate and/or closely monitor them while Tom learns how to coexist with any resident dog. You'll need to continue work on potty training, shore up any fence lines, and puppy proof his area of the house. He can be a little timid when learning new things but once he feels comfortable (or motivated by food) he is a very quick learner. Tom really is super sweet and a wonderful pup with such a fun personality. I'm sure he will grow up to be an absolutely awesome dog, but he will likely need a lot of mental stimulation and physical activity. If you are open to it, once Tom finds his forever home, I think he would love getting together with his brother Jerry for play dates with each other. They really are the best of buds!
