Meet Chico - A Playful Soul Seeking His Forever Home! 🐾
This energetic 1½-year-old pit bull mix is on a mission to find his perfect family! Chico is a young, spirited pup who brings joy wherever he goes, especially when he meets new people - just watch his whole body wiggle with excitement! He's already mastered the basics: he's fully house-trained and sleeps peacefully through the night, making him an ideal indoor companion.
Chico is a smart cookie who loves his treats and toys, making him both fun to play with and easy to train. While he currently lives with a college student who adores him, this active boy needs more space to stretch his legs and burn off his youthful energy. He's proven to be great with people and gets along wonderfully with some dogs - he's currently best buddies with his foster sister, a female pit bull!
The perfect home for Chico would include:
- A spacious yard or active lifestyle for plenty of exercise
- No cats (they're just not his thing!)
- People who appreciate a snuggly, treat-motivated pup
- Experience with strong, energetic dogs is a plus
Could you be the one to give this sweet boy the room to run and love he deserves? Come meet Chico and experience his infectious happiness for yourself!

More about this rescue
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
