My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nardo (aka Mr. Torts, Nardolini and Sweet Boy) came into my life when I was living in NYC. He’s since settled into the Southern lifestyle, but was first a city boy. I rescued him from death row at a kill shelter and try everyday to make his life beautiful, fun and each day better than the last. We think he was previously surrendered due to a biting incident with a baby, and he has come with some PTSD and anxiety throughout the years. While he has his moments where he can snap, we’ve been without an incident in just under a year!

Trust and stability are key with Nardo. He’s a total pack dog and loves being around his people, but like a cat where he needs his personal space. Definitely better in a home without kids, cats or other dogs. Sunshine, tennis balls and long walkies are his love language!!

Rehoming Nardo is the toughest decision we’ve had to make since he is TRULY the sweetest boy, but with a baby on the way, this is the best outcome for both our baby and Nardo!
