Behavioral:
Volunteer noted 12/29: Izzy Bizzy is a beautiful sweet girl who is easy to walk on a leash and loves being pet. She is very gentle, sitting for treats and calm with others. She had a good dog meet with King Paw. They had fun playing, with King Paw jumping over her at one point. She didn’t seem bothered and was wanting to play more. After playing for a bit, another volunteer arrived; Izzy was quick to greet her and seemed like she was ready to go for a ride in the car. This was even caught on video. See this video and others (links provided)! She was a joy to spend time with!
Per volunteer 12/29: Izzy was very sweet and seems to love people! In the yard, she wasn't super interested in toys, but was very eager to please and show off her "sit" for some treats. She did a great job holding the sit even after receiving a reward! She also seemed to enjoy running with the handler in the yard. We were in the yard nearest the door, and she was very excited to see a staff member who walked by a few times, going up to the fence to try and kiss her. She did get a little spooked when a big husky came out - slight hackles raised & some barks. She seemed to be a little fixated (wanted to get closer to where she heard the dogs), so I took her back inside, and she pulled a little towards the other yard, but I was able to redirect easily. She's got such a beautiful coat with the most subtle but pretty markings, and the cutest ears.
Per staff 12/27: BEHAVIOR EVALUATION: Izzy Bizzy
KNOWN HISTORY:
Stray
KENNEL PRESENTATION:
In the kennel, Izzy Bizzy was pulling around her blanket and jumped up on the kennel door with a wagging tail and neutral body when she saw me. She stayed on the door as I leashed her and came right out once secured.
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls minimally
HANDLING:
In the room, Izzy BIzzy was a bit timid and nervous but warmed up with some treats and time. She sat very nicely for treats, she took the match and is very treat motivated. She will do anything for a treat and loses focus on everything once she sees where they are. To get her to sit I need to move away and take my time for her to finally get down .She can get jumpy and snatchy when she's excited but is pretty easy to calm down. While doing her eval she howls and huffs at any dogs she hears barking in the vicinity. She allowed all handling but it took some time for her to be comfortable.
PLAY:
Engages in play
TOYS:
Interest but no possession
12/26 finder noted: "friendly and playful", "good/playful with children"
