Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Dora is an online sensation in the making....she has a variety of meows that instagram composers would be giddy to create their next symphony from.
There's the baby meow, the deep guttural meow, the h-e-l-l-o meow, the soft little whisper meow, is anyone home meow? We spend our afternoons deep in conversation, she must find it fulfilling because she always answers back but always at a safe distance.
I became Dora's foster in Nov 2024 when she had dental surgery and needed a place to recoup afterwards. She was a community cat that was deemed too friendly, so ACC took her off the streets, she is one polite little lady ( uses her littler box and scratching post) so my feeling is she may not have been homeless her whole life. I know we judge a cat's age by their teeth but Dora seems way younger than her stated years.
Dora doesn't fool around when it comes to food, she loves her meals, her soft Churu treats and runs around with her toys when nobody's looking. She's a tiny girl at 6 lbs and very pretty. Not in a Ginger way but more like a Mary Ann; and if I were stuck on Gilligan's Island there's nobody more I'd like to be swinging on a hammock with than Dora. When she does give you the opportunity to give her soft chin/cheek scratches, her purring is irresistible!
Dora is very unique looking.....she has light green eyes (sometimes slight golden) that blend in with a lighter face. She has tiger stripes on top of her head and front legs. But then it gets interesting...the rest of her body range from light cream to dark brown. It reminds me of ocean waves rolling up on the beach with different shades of sand reflecting in the sun.
Since living with Dora, I have strongly suggested that she needs another cat to show her "the way" in a loving home. She is unsure of herself and how to make herself at home. She is used to the company of other cats and seems to be a bit lonely and shut down without cat company. I think with harness training she would be an ADVENTURE girl, she is very calm in her crate ( it's a fight to get in ) the motion of the car almost lulls her to sleep. She can be your hiking and boating buddy once she learns to accept her humans love and gets comfortable with it.
Don't be fooled by her name, it's too simple for such an exotic little kitty, come check her out and let the adventures begin! Primary Color: Brown Weight: 5.3125 Age: 8yrs 4mths 3wks
