My story

Meet Piper! Piper is a sweet but shy 7.9-year-old cat looking for a loving and patient home. She was adopted from a shelter and has spent her life in a quiet senior home with her human companion. Piper is used to wheelchairs and motor chairs and has warmed up to frequent visitors and nurses over time. While she might be cautious around new people at first, Piper has a gentle nature and has never acted aggressively, even when nervous. She may hiss when feeling uneasy, but this is simply her way of expressing discomfort—she’s never shown any concerning behavior. Piper hasn’t been around other cats or dogs, so her reaction to other pets is unknown. She’s in good health, has no behavioral issues, and is cooperative for nail trims (though she might express her displeasure with a little hiss at the end!). If you’re looking for a quiet and low-maintenance companion who just needs time to feel safe and loved, Piper could be the perfect match. With patience and understanding, she’s sure to warm up and bring her gentle sweetness to your home.

Submit Application

Please submit a brief online questionnaire so that we may get to know you a little better. www.fluffanimalrescue.org/to-adopt

Interview

Once we have had a chance to review your pet needs, one of our volunteer adoption counselors will be in touch for a phone conversation.

3.
Meet the Pet

Once the phone interview is complete, we hope that a match has been made with a potential adopter and a pet from our rescue.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If the pet is determined to be a good fit, the adoption agreement is signed and the adoption fee is collected.

Our pets are all safe in foster homes located in and around the Tampa Bay area. If you would like to meet one of our furry friends, the first step is to fill out an online questionnaire which will immediately come to our inbox for review. You will then be contacted by us to further discuss your potential new furry friend. We also provide our furry friends the opportunity to attend local adoption events whenever possible, and several of our available pets will be available at our new thrift store location during store hours: 9400 Seminole Blvd, Seminole, FL 33772 Please check our website for details regarding any upcoming events!

FLUFF Animal Rescue- established to save the lives of animals. Through community awareness, public assistance, education and rescue-to-rehome, we aim to address and confront animal over-population and shelter over-crowding. We believe that together, we CAN save them all. We are a 501c3 not-for-profit public charity established in January 2016. We are fully funded through generous contributions and support from our donors and friends like you who care about the needs of homeless animals. We provide homes to the homeless, food for the hungry, health and medical care to those who are injured or sick, and relieve shelters of serious over-crowding by rescuing to rehome animals who may not have survived the shelter environment.
