JIF NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:  Jif     Best Guess for Breed: Retriever and shepherd mix

Best Guess for Age:   2 years as of December 2024      SEX:   Male

Approximate Weight:  43 lbs

Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested if you have them. 

Currently Living at:  DC area foster home

Jif is Looking For:   His forever family! He's got all that awesome young-dog energy and is eager to have his own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and exploring the world - he hasn't seen nearly enough of it. He'd love to make pup pals along the way, too. Quality kibble, cushy dog beds, peanut butter-filled Kongs - yes, please. But you know what he wants most of all? To know where he belongs, to know he's safe and loved for all his days.

What My Foster Says About Me:   Jif is a loving goofball! He really enjoys snuggling, running around at the dog park, and he does great with all people and other dogs! He does really well with our dog -- they love to play together and chew their bones side by side. He LOVES his food and treats -- especially cheese -- so that will really help with training!! He does amazing in his crate when everyone is gone for a little while during the day and at night -- not a peep from this good boy! Jif does get a little bit scared around loud city noises outside on walks, but he just needs a quick reassurance to carry on and he is gaining confidence and becoming less afraid by the day! He is a fantastic dog looking for a loving home full of lots of snuggles, some exercise to get his zoomies out and some bones and treats to snack on. He would be the perfect addition to any family or individual looking for a little extra love in their lives!!!

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
