Gonzalez A430163

Located At: Sonoma County Animal Services

Description: I am a neutered male, gray tabby Domestic Mediumhair.

Age: I am estimated to be about 2 years and 1 month old.

Weight: I weigh approximately 11 pounds.

More Info: I have been at the shelter since Nov 14, 2024.

Gonzalez came to us as a stray. While he does enjoy human company, he has made it clear he is an outdoor boy. Gonzalez would make a great ranch cat/barn cat as he is nice and outdoor savvy. He may even come inside your home for a visit. He would likely not do well being locked inside however and may panic if unable to get out on his own terms. We are housing this handsome boy in a quiet room and not on our adoption floor. If you are interested in visiting with him please ask staff in our front office.

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
