My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ember, a gorgeous female gray tabby, about a year old. Ember was found outside a firehouse last October by an EMT that worked there. He saw the cat in the afternoon as he entered the building and as he left saw the cat again in the wee hours of the morning. This kind man took the cat home and took care of it until he could contact us. He told us the cat appeared to be starving and had gone through three cans of wet food at his house before coming to us. Once in our care, I can honestly say that I had never in all my years of rescue or otherwise, eat so fast.

Ember is a sweet girl who loves affection. She loves to be pet and be with people. She gets along great with other cats and would most-likely be a great companion cat.Ember loves her climber and looking out the window at the birds. She is playful, but has a calm personality, at times instead just wanting to sit and relax.

Ember is/will be dewormed, spayed, have an FVRCP and Rabies vaccine, be combo tested, and be microchipped with a lifetime regisrtration. No need to pay every year to reregister, we've done it for you. Interested in Ember to light up your life? More about this rescue

Our rescue is dedicated to the cats that have been forgotten - strays that are shy and frightened, abandoned cats that once had a home and are trying to come into a home for shelter, cats that need a little more TLC than most to trust again.

These cats are struggling on our streets to be noticed, struggling for survival. They need our love, our compassion, our help.

They are the forgotten cats.
The cats that most rescues "don't have time for."

ALL cats deserve love.
ALL cats deserve a good home.
ALL cats deserve to be treated with respect and given care.

Given time, love, and nurturing, these cats become wonderful, loving housecats.

Our rescue is for the forgotten cats. In my home, they are known as the Shrinking Violets, and I have fought for their right to be loved, receive care, and the respect they deserve. Please join me with your support.
