My name is Monty!

Monty is an 8-year-old rescue we adopted in April. He’s up-to-date on vaccinations and loves playing with his human, belly rubs, car rides, long walks and traveling as a bag dog. Monty is incredibly loyal and thrives on one-on-one attention.

However, Monty’s past as a street dog has left him with challenges. He has severe anxiety around other dogs, separation anxiety, and discomfort in large crowds or around kids. He also has a history of nipping and is a potential bite risk with unfamiliar people or children when he feels threatened. While the shelter told us Monty was family-friendly, we later realized he’s a high-needs dog and not suited for a home with kids.
Despite our efforts to help him adjust, we’ve decided Monty needs a home better suited to his needs. He requires an experienced adopter with the time and patience to train him. For the right person, Monty will be a devoted and loving companion.
