My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Avery is a 4-year-old pit mix weighing about 50 pounds. She’s a beautiful, affectionate girl who has come a long way in her journey but is now looking for a calm, loving home where she can thrive.

Avery’s Story
Avery spent the first half of her life at the shelter before being adopted three months ago. She has made significant progress, thanks to her loving family and a dedicated trainer. However, despite all efforts, Avery’s anxiety and difficulty peacefully coexisting with the family’s 9-year-old dog have led to the heartbreaking decision to rehome her. Her current family wants nothing more than to see Avery continue to blossom in the right environment.

Why You’ll Love Avery

  • Cuddly and Affectionate: Avery is a lovebug who enjoys snuggling up with her people.
  • Leash-Trained and Playful: She walks well on a leash, responds to commands like "sit," and loves to play.
  • Laid-Back at Heart: After playtime, Avery loves nothing more than to relax and nap.

What Avery Needs
Avery would do best in a home:

  • Without other dogs or with a highly experienced adopter who can manage her anxiety.
  • With a patient and understanding family willing to continue her training.
  • Where she can feel safe, loved, and supported as the incredible companion she is.

If you’re ready to give Avery the forever home she deserves, you’ll be rewarded with endless love and loyalty. Let’s help this sweet girl find the peaceful and happy life she’s been waiting for!
