My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** PLEASE EMAIL questions, please DO NOT call. We are a volunteer based group and are unable to handle the call volume.

** PLEASE fill out the adoption interest application at: https://apath4paws.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste into your browser)

WE HOLD ADOPTIONS ON SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS FROM 10-4 PM at our Adoption Center. Our adoption center is located next to CAL Ranch at 232 North Jones (I-95) Suite 170.

Brigitte is about 2 yrs old. She was rescued from a breeder where she was bred for greed. She is now spayed and is thriving. She has an outgoing personality.

She is learning how to be a dog, and already loves toys. She will need to be leash trained and housebroken as she lived in a wire cage. She might do best in a playpen style enclosure instead of a crate. She needs a secure yard for pottie times since she does not understand the leash yet. This will also make it much easier to house train. She is unknown with young kids so would do best with children over 8 yrs old.

She is interested in a family with bulldog experience and is not a great candidate for a first time dog owner due to her history. This breed CAN NOT be left outdoors due to the the special care required with their "pushed in" faces, and unusual structure. They can overheat very quickly. Frenchies can come with some health issues as they get older. Pet Insurance is a must for this breed.

More will be known about me soon.

A Path 4 Paws holds adoption events at our Adoptions Center, located at 232 N. Jones Blvd, Suite 170 right next to CAL Ranch (North Jones/ I-95). Please bring your dog(s) for a meet and greet (if applicable) Please bring your entire family so everyone can meet.

Additional adoption info

Please read the FULL story of each dog. It will tell you who to contact and which location that dog is being adopted from each weekend. You MUST have a collar that fits the dog & leash before you will be allowed to take a dog home with you. All puppies should have a brand new collar & leash for health reasons.

Each animal has an adoption fee. The fees pay the dog's vet bills. We require everyone to fill out a 4 page questionnaire/requirements to help us determine if this is the best fit for the dog and its potential human family.

If you rent, please bring your rental agreement stating that you are allowed to have a dog and what the requirements and restrictions are for your home, apartment or condo property.

If you have another dog in the home, you must bring for a meet/greet to ensure the best match.

We is solely by volunteers. We will return your call or email as quickly as possible.

Please read the dog's information and contact the person listed as the contact for that specific dog. Not all of our dogs have the same contact information and some breeds require pre-approval.

More about this rescue

We have grown to be one of Nevada's largest animal rescue groups providing a safe haven for dogs suffering from abuse, neglect or homelessness. In most of these cases, death would have resulted if the animal had entered a municipally funded shelter. We receive no local or federal funding, it relies solely on the generosity of its contributors and tax deductible donations received from the public. We always need volunteers and foster homes!
