Dog Name: K. C. Wolf
Breed: Mixed
Sex: Male
Age: 8 weeks
Weight: 6 lbs.
Medical Needs: Will need DAPPVs number 3 and 4 to complete the series.
Neutering is also needed once Wolf is old enough. This must be completed by
April 30, 2025, and is covered by Grass Roots Rescue. Appointments can be scheduled in
Georgetown, Dover, and Wilmington.
Foster to adopt families must live within one hour of Delaware and be willing to bring pup
back for his appt. when the time comes.
Housebroken: No, but starting to understand what to do when he goes out.
Crate trained: No. Wolf is great at night in his crate. If you get up during the night, tiptoe. When he hears you, he thinks it’s time to join you.
Good in the car: Rode fine in a crate to his foster’s home.
Good on a leash: Not tested
Energy level: Medium. Wolf will romp around you while outside, checking out the leaves and outdoor cats. He is also content to snuggle on your lap.
Need a fenced in yard: No
Dog Friendly: Yes
If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No
Cat Friendly? Unsure, but anything breathing is his friend. He wants to play with my outside cats. If you have dog-savvy cats, he will learn boundaries.
Kid Friendly: Not tested yet, however, he loves everyone and is very gentle.
If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any with proper supervision.
Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them?
Wolf is a sweet, easy-going puppy. He loves being with his people, playing with the resident dog, and tugging on your pant leg. He is not a big fan of the cold weather, and would rather do his exploring inside. He does have puppy curiosity, so he’ll need to be crated when no one is at home or at night. He does great in the crate after a play session and sleeps all night until the household rouses. Then he believes breakfast should be on its way. He has had a crate buddy, so he will need some extra understanding as he adjusts to being alone.
