My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: NJ
Hello everyone meet little Hela! Don’t let her size fool you! This 5 lb 8 week old female stumpy tail Australian cattle dog puppy is ALL cattle dog tough! Sweet, smart and sassy!!! She will most likely be on the small size for a cattle dog, maybe a miniature. But her personality is true to the breed. She loves to be near her human but is also confident and independent.

Because of her cattle dog traits, she would do best in an active home with a fenced yard and doing some kind of training or work. I would think she would make a great hiking partner too!

She is young, but I suspect she may chase cats or chickens when she an adult. Hela is doing well with the other dogs in the household. I don’t see any signs of food or toy aggression. She will require a home with no children under age 13.

Hela is doing really good at house training and crate training for her age/size. She sleeps quietly in a crate at night and only gets up once or twice during the night to go potty. Is up to date on her puppy boosters and deworming. But will need to finish her boosters and be adopted out with a spay contract to be done at 6 months of age.

Hela is located in Monroeville NJ

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
