This dog was found up the road at a medical facility. She’d been running around for about a week and a half. Initially the staff thought she was sneaking away from the neighboring sheep farm but then people started seeing her at night. After that went on through 2 weekends, she was seen eating road kill. That’s when we were called and asked to help. She is great with our dog but she can’t stop fixating on the cats. Our dog has her own feral cat as a pet (she brought the cat home Feb ‘22) so you can see how having Duke is a bit challenging. Duke is very smart and for training purposes we started calling her Duke. She knows the name. She understands no. She isn’t aggressive but she is incredibly intelligent (e.i. Sneaky). The vet said they think she is between 8 months and 1 year. She has not gone into her first heat so the general consensus is that she’s on the younger end of that. No chip. Pure bread heeler best anyone can tell.
