Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Sofia is a beautiful one-year old female kitty who came to the HSOV on July 23, 2024 along with her three 2-month old kittens (Carl, Daryl, and Enid). Sofia and her babies were brought in as 'safe-keeping' kitties with the intention that they would eventually go back home .. But circumstances changed and they were not reclaimed.
This little mother has a dark brown tabby short smooth coat with a large patch of white on her chest, white paws, a long ringed tail, and an adorable chubby face with golden eyes, a brown velvet nose, and long white whiskers.
Sofia was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on August 20th-August 24th. She weighed 6.8 lbs. Sofia was given booster vaccines on September 3, 2024.
Sofia was a good mother to her babies. She was separated from them in late summer 2024 after they were fully weaned.
Sofia was spayed on December 17, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 6.15 lbs that day.
Sofia's kittens were also spayed/neutered on December 17, 2024 (and her little boy Daryl was adopted that day).
These photos of Sofia were taken on December 21, 2024 while she explored our 'studio' and posed for her glamour photos. Sofia has a quiet, rather demure, personality. She is good with her people friends (including children), but she is not good with other cats. Sofia hasn't been around dogs, so we don't know how she feels about canine friends.
Sofia is ready to find a fabulous home either through adoption or rescue.
Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
