Looking for a new best friend? Look no further than KC! This affectionate and friendly boy is your perfect companion - he's even earned the title of "couch potato extraordinaire"! But don't be fooled by his love of the couch, this playful pup has lots of energy and love to give. He's always up for a long walk, but when he's done he loves nothing more than curling up on the couch to snuggle. KC is a gentle, smart and loyal dog, and he's great with kids and adults. If you're looking for a furry friend who will stick by your side through thick and thin, come and meet KC! KC loves nothing more than to follow his human around. KC is about 3.5 pounds, is a little chunky right now (could lose a few pounds--we're working on it!), is house-trained, microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, dewormed, deflead. If you'd like to meet KC in La Mesa, send us an email and we'll send you an application: vcanimalrescueca@gmail.com.

Because we want to make sure there is a perfect match between our animal's personalities and the potential adopter's needs, interests and life-style, we carefully review the adoption application the potential adopter has completed. Once the application is reviewed, the candidate is welcome to visit the animals they are interested in meeting. And, if there is an interest, we do a home visit. After that, there is an adoption fee and then an adoption contract. The entire process takes about a day.

More about this rescue
We take in animals that have been abandoned, turned in by owners for various reasons, and animals off the streets. Once we get the animals, they are taken to the vet for an initial exam, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and given any other needed treatment. We have dogs, cats and ducks, but would take in other types of animals if needed. Our mission is to greatly reduce the homeless pet population in San Diego County and to provide education regarding the proper care and treatment of animals as well as the significant benefits received as a result of having animals. Why do we do it? Because we love animals and we appreciate the difference they can make in people's lives. We are a small rescue and in order to expand our ability to help, could really use some dedicated volunteers as well as donations, so please consider helping out.
