Meet your new best friend, Coco. Coco is a loving and friendly dog who is full of energy and curiosity. This affectionate and playful pup is a loyal companion who is always eager to be by your side. Coco loves going on walks, getting lots of attention, and curling up on the couch for a good cuddle session. He is a well-rounded dog who is just looking for a family to call his own. Coco is a 1.5 year old Maltipoo (about 25 pounds). If you think you could give Coco the loving home he deserves, we encourage you to come meet him today in La Mesa! He can't wait to meet you. Please contact us at vcanimalrescueca@gmail.com and we will send you an application.

Because we want to make sure there is a perfect match between our animal's personalities and the potential adopter's needs, interests and life-style, we carefully review the adoption application the potential adopter has completed. Once the application is reviewed, the candidate is welcome to visit the animals they are interested in meeting. And, if there is an interest, we do a home visit. After that, there is an adoption fee and then an adoption contract. The entire process takes about a day.

More about this rescue
We take in animals that have been abandoned, turned in by owners for various reasons, and animals off the streets. Once we get the animals, they are taken to the vet for an initial exam, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and given any other needed treatment. We have dogs, cats and ducks, but would take in other types of animals if needed. Our mission is to greatly reduce the homeless pet population in San Diego County and to provide education regarding the proper care and treatment of animals as well as the significant benefits received as a result of having animals. Why do we do it? Because we love animals and we appreciate the difference they can make in people's lives. We are a small rescue and in order to expand our ability to help, could really use some dedicated volunteers as well as donations, so please consider helping out.
