Grayson—suave and debonair, and is a fine little gentleman ready to find his perfect family. This handsome young man came to rescue with his siblings after being surrendered by the farmer who bred them. Grayson, a Great Pyrenees and Anatolian mix with long legs and an athletic body has the Pyr “look” down. He can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once he trusts you, he lights up and will win your heart! He has a way of looking at you with such a wise face. He enjoys running and playing with his siblings and the other dogs in his foster home. He is respectful of the big dogs and rather fond of them. He loves to sleep on the big dog beds and will often be found napping with another dog. He is very much a dog’s dog! He has such a gentle, quiet and wise nature. Children to follow around and “get into trouble with” would be cool too! Grayson is housebroken, crate trained, rides well in the car and great on a leash; he is just one smart pup! He is a quick learner who will soak up as much as his family is willing to teach him! Grayson requires a home with a secure fenced yard (5 ft. since he is going to be a tall boy) and another large-breed dog to not only play with, but to learn the ropes from. His family should understand his breeds, be calm and have patience, love, and time to devote to continuing his training. He is ready to soak up all your love and attention and reward you with a kiss or two!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
