Meet Obie! This quiet and reserved boy is feeling a bit overwhelmed in the shelter, but with the right home, he has the potential to flourish. Obie only has three legs, but that doesn’t slow him down one bit—he’s just as capable and full of heart as any other cat.

He would do best in a calm and patient environment where he’ll be given plenty of time and space to settle in at his own pace. If you’re looking for a gentle companion and are ready to help a shy soul come out of his shell, Obie might be the perfect fit for you!

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.

When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.

If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
