My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Crump was brought in by Humane Law Enforcement on December 10, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Crump, a sweet and resilient dog who came into our care in rough shape. Despite his rocky start, Crump has been making great strides thanks to the dedicated care of our medical team. He arrived with dental disease, a skin infection, and dry eye, which will require lifelong eye drops. The good news is that he's already responding well to his medication, and his overall health is improving steadily. Our vet will be happy to sit down with you to go over Crump's medical needs in detail, ensuring that you have all the information to provide him with the best possible care. Crump is a loving companion, and with the right care, he's sure to continue thriving and bringing joy to his future family. Come meet Crump today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
