My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Pepe was brought in by a community member on December 19, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Pepe! Pepe is a charming pup who came to us as a stray, so his story is still unfolding! This cutie is sure to win you over with his soft luxurious fur and adorable little face! While in our care, he has shown that he's likely potty trained, walks like a pro on a leash, and gets along well with other dogs. Pepe is eager to find a home where he can continue to shine and show off his amazing personality. Could he be the perfect match for you? Come meet pepe and don't forget to bring a leash and collar!

At SDHS:
Pepe has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Pepe is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
