My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ramona, a sweet, curious, gentle, and mellow feline residing in our shelter. She`s an adult cat, but her curiosity and zest for life rival that of a kitten. Ramona loves to explore her surroundings, always on the hunt for a new adventure. She`s also gentle, showing kindness to both her human friends and fellow shelter pets. Despite her energetic nature, Ramona has a mellow side. She loves quiet afternoons, lounging around, and enjoying the company of those around her. Adopting Ramona means gaining a loving, curious, and gentle companion. Her mellow demeanor ensures a peaceful coexistence, making her the perfect addition to any family.

More about this shelter

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
