Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Kevin was born about December 10, 2022 and will likely top out about 75 lbs. We were contacted by a neighboring city humane society that has been overwhelmed for some time on a consistent basis due to the current drastic over population of dogs in the greater western NY region and somehow Kevin landed there and was stressed by the noisy and chaotic environment and was not showing well to the general public. When this happens the volunteers reach out to rescues to quickly get the dog into a more normal situation. While we admit coming into Joyful Rescues can be somewhat stressful itself Kevin walked in and felt very much at home. As I write this he's been here less than a week and has flourished. He loves every human he has met here and we surely fell in love with him in return. Kevin has been very well behaved and pleasant to get to know. He doesn't jump up on us and he does well on leash. He has been perfect with all the other dogs large and small and those more his size are very fun to run and play with. When the play is done he settles nicely. He has done well on the few car rides that it took to get him to the main site. At this point the only negative we've had is when he casually walked up to our small artificial Christmas tree and ever so gently plucked off one of the lighted flowers. We didn't think much of it until we realized this cute tree we bought at a thrift shop won't light with one light missing! Oh well, saving Kevin's life is surely worth this minor blip in our lives. The municipal shelter he came from is so over full that they've admitted they will likely have to euthanize for space, remember Kevin wasn't showing well. YIKES! Joyful Rescues has become dedicated to helping dogs that are abandoned or needing a new home in this greater western NY region and someone out there that finds Kevin on our site and welcomes him into their lives are going to be very happy! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $__500.00__.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
